About the Role
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centered care to children aged 0-18 years in community settings. You’ll work as part of an integrated team to support children with acute, chronic, and complex healthcare conditions, helping them remain safely at home or transition to adult services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on nursing care to children and young people as directed by the Clinical Team Lead.
- Support the implementation and evaluation of personalized care plans.
- Provide clinical, administrative, and supportive tasks to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to support families.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, both electronic and handwritten.
- Promote independence and enhance the quality of life for children with disabilities, long-term conditions, or palliative care needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Numeracy and literacy skills for accurate record-keeping and medication administration.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (e.g., advanced apprenticeship, A-levels, T-levels, NVQ).
- Care Certificate (training will be provided if not already achieved).
Experience
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and customer-focused environment.
- Familiarity with fast-paced work settings and effective communication.
- Previous healthcare or NHS experience (preferred).
