Key Responsibilities
As a Health Care Assistant at Mighty Health Care, your role will involve providing personal care, offering companionship, assisting with daily tasks, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the clients. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Personal Care Support
- Assistance with Hygiene: Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain their hygiene and comfort.
- Mobility Support: Aid clients with mobility, including transferring and using appropriate equipment like hoists and walking aids to promote independence and safety.
2. Medication Assistance
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications according to care plans, ensuring correct dosages and schedules are followed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate medication records, including dosages and times, and report any issues to healthcare professionals.
3. Meal Preparation and Dietary Support
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs and preferences, ensuring they receive balanced and enjoyable meals.
- Assistance with Eating: Support clients with eating if needed, ensuring their nutritional needs are met in a respectful manner.
4. Household Tasks
- Cleaning and Tidying: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry, to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Shopping and Errands: Assist clients with shopping and errands, ensuring they have access to essential supplies and services.
5. Companionship and Emotional Support
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and engage in conversation and activities to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve emotional well-being.
- Encouraging Social Activities: Assist clients in participating in hobbies, community events, or social activities to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
6. Health Monitoring and Reporting

7. Documentation and Communication

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing excellent care. The ideal Health Care Assistant will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A Full UK or EU/EEA Driving Licence: This is a requirement for candidates as it helps with mobility support and client transport.
- Experience in Care: While not mandatory, we prefer candidates with previous experience in care homes or domiciliary care (minimum 1 year).
