As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support to clients, assisting with their personal care, well-being, and mobility needs. Key Responsibilities
As a Health Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Personal Care Assistance

Assist clients with day-to-day personal care tasks, including washing, toileting, dressing, and grooming, in a manner that upholds their dignity and respect.

Ensure clients’ personal care plans are followed, adjusting your approach as necessary to meet individual needs.
Health and Wellbeing

Administer medications as prescribed and provide health support, including monitoring clients’ health conditions and reporting any changes to the care team.

Provide emotional support, encouraging clients to be as independent as possible while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Mobility Assistance

Aid clients with mobility challenges, utilizing equipment like hoists and assistive technology to help them move safely.

Assist with physical disabilities and incontinence care, always following the appropriate protocols in line with each client’s care plan.
Nutrition and Meal Preparation

Assist clients with meal preparation and ensuring they receive proper nutrition to maintain their health.

Monitor clients’ eating habits and work with the care team to address any issues related to diet or nutrition.
Observation, Monitoring, and Record Keeping

Observe and document clients’ conditions, noting any significant changes in their physical or mental state.

Record all care activities accurately and report any concerns to the appropriate team members.
Collaborative Care Team Involvement

Contribute to the clients’ care review process, sharing your observations and insights to help improve care strategies and outcomes.

Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for each client.
