Key Responsibilities
As an HCA, you will:
- Provide care across two clinics: The Sexual Health Clinic and The Wharfside HIV Outpatient Department.
- Perform patient care tasks delegated by qualified healthcare staff.
- Ensure the clinic environment remains safe and clean.
- Conduct clerical tasks, such as record-keeping and patient documentation.
- Supervise less experienced nursing assistants.
- Support clinical teams flexibly as required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Education
- QCF Level 3 in Health (or equivalent, e.g., NVQ Level 3).
- Proficiency in written and spoken English to meet job requirements.
Experience
- Recent experience (within the last 18 months) in an acute care setting.
- Insight into the role of an HCA, with a willingness to learn new skills such as venepuncture.
