The University of Reading is seeking a dynamic Finance Systems Analyst to join our Finance & Corporate Services Systems division. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to several strategic software implementation and enhancement projects. As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will support, maintain, and develop the systems and integrations used by the Finance Department and internal stakeholders. This role is pivotal in helping the University streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies through integrated system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for financial systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Project Implementation: Assist in the implementation of new financial software systems, contributing to the enhancement of existing processes.
  • Systems Development: Collaborate with various departments to develop system integrations that meet the University’s evolving needs.
  • Internal Customer Support: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that systems are aligned with their operational requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement solutions that drive efficiency across the finance operations.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience in finance systems analysis, with a strong understanding of financial software and systems integration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial systems maintenance, development, and support.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving processes and driving efficiencies.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels.
