Role Overview
As a Support Worker/Personal Assistant, you’ll provide personalized, outcome-based care that empowers individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. This role requires compassion, responsibility, and a focus on dignity and respect.
Location: United Kingdom
Salary: £12 per hour + Benefits
Visa Sponsorship: Available (for those already in the UK and who have completed their probationary period)
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Service Users:
- Advocacy and serving as a Key Worker.
- Assistance with catheter care, mobility, washing, and dressing.
- Promoting equality, rights, and dignity.
- Social visits, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Medication administration and continence promotion.
- Reporting incidents, accidents, or complaints promptly.
Managing Workload:
- Logging in and out of visits.
- Updating electronic records like daily notes.
- Staying informed about care legislation and company policies.
- Attending and contributing to meetings and training sessions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We’re looking for someone with the following qualities and qualifications:
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years in a similar role.
- Education: SVQ 2 or equivalent in Health or Social Care.
Key Skills:
- Excellent: Compassion, trustworthiness, and reliability.
- Good: Attention to detail, time management, planning, and communication.
- Basic: Knowledge of health and safety, and social care best practices.
Advantageous Experience:
Previous roles such as Care Worker, Home Carer, Social Worker, Case Worker, or Care Assistant are a plus.
