Your Role as a Female Care Assistant
As a Female Care Assistant with Gentle Hands Healthcare, you’ll play a vital role in providing personalized support, companionship, and practical assistance to clients who need help with daily living activities. You’ll be based in the Fife area, and the role is open to applicants with a full UK driving licence, as driving is an essential part of the position.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Personal Care Assistance: Provide sensitive and respectful personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Companionship and Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to clients, helping them feel valued and supported, both in their homes and within the community.

Community Engagement: Support clients during home visits and help them engage in community activities.

Maintain a Homely Environment: Ensure clients’ homes are clean, safe, and comfortable, creating a homely environment that promotes well-being.

Promote Client Independence: Encourage clients to make choices and maintain as much independence as possible in their daily activities.

Build Relationships: Establish strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families, providing continuity of care and a reassuring presence.

Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Essential Qualifications:

UK Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is required to travel between client homes.

GCSE or Equivalent (Preferred): Having basic qualifications is beneficial but not mandatory.

Experience in Home Care or Care (Preferred): Previous experience in a care environment is ideal but not required. We provide training for those new to the sector.
Desirable Qualifications:

PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Check: Required for working with vulnerable adults.
