Key Responsibilities of the Events Officer

1. Event Planning and Management

3. Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with University leaders, staff, and volunteers to ensure event goals are aligned with broader institutional objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, such as Volunteering, to identify opportunities for events that celebrate community contributions.

  • Collaborate with the Advancement team to identify key research areas, fundraising priorities, and partnership opportunities for future events.

4. Event Delivery and Post-Event Review

  • Manage the execution of events from concept to post-event review, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained at all stages.

  • Assess and evaluate event success, using feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement in future events.

  • Prepare event reports and provide recommendations for improvements in future event strategies.

5. Travel and Flexibility

  • Some occasional travel (including international travel) may be required to manage events outside of Leeds.

  • Flexibility in working hours will be necessary, as many events may require evening and weekend work.


Qualifications and Skills
