Enhanced Care Support Worker [Visa Sponsorship Available]

About the Role

As an Enhanced Care Support Worker, you will provide essential care and supervision to patients at risk of harm due to falls, deterioration, or isolation. You’ll work with individuals who have acute delirium, mental health needs, dementia, learning disabilities, or autism. Care will be provided either on a one-to-one basis or as part of a cohort, depending on the patient’s needs.

Salary: £22,816 to £24,336 per year (pro-rata)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality enhanced care, tailored to respect patients’ dignity and individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing and following care plans under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals.
  • Provide one-to-one patient care through observation, interaction, and de-escalation techniques to enhance safety and improve patient experience.
  • Actively contribute to patient care assessments, planning, and evaluations.
  • Report changes in patient conditions promptly to the Registered Nurse and Enhanced Care Team Lead.
  • Support risk assessments and help implement risk management plans.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • A good standard of education (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent).
  • A commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centered care.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to diverse needs.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Care Certificate or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience in healthcare settings, especially with mental health, dementia, or neurodiversity.
