About the Role
Bluebird Care Burnley & Pendle is expanding and looking for compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a minimum of 1 year home care experience, a driving license, and a can-do attitude to provide essential in-home care for older adults. Key Responsibilities
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your key duties will include:
- Providing personal care for male and female customers (essential).
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Ensuring that customers are supported to maintain their independence in their own homes.
- Building strong relationships with customers and offering a friendly, reliable service.
- Traveling between customer homes, ensuring punctuality and efficiency.
- Working every other weekend, with flexible shift options available, including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- 1+ year of experience in home care (door-to-door).
- A full driving license and access to your own vehicle (required for this role).
- A genuine caring nature with the ability to provide compassionate support.
- Strong communication skills in English (essential).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
- GCSE or equivalent education (preferred but not mandatory).
