Job Summary: Overview of the Cyber Security Analyst Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst at Provide CIC, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and handling cybersecurity threats that affect Provide and its group companies. You will work alongside senior leadership, including the Technology Security and Cloud Lead and the Director of IT & Systems, ensuring that all security protocols are developed and maintained to the highest standards. The role involves researching cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies, evaluating vulnerabilities, and implementing proactive solutions to strengthen the overall security posture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst

Cybersecurity Strategy and Solution Development

  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and deploy advanced cybersecurity measures tailored to Provide’s environment, reducing potential risks and safeguarding vital information.

  • Incident and Event Management: Act as the primary contact for logging and managing security incidents, ensuring that all events are tracked, addressed, and escalated when necessary.

  • Vulnerability Testing: Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and risk analysis, to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

  • Incident Response: Provide timely response to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and developing remediation plans to prevent future breaches.

  • Security Incident Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all security incidents, including improvements to processes, tooling, and response strategies.

Monitoring, Analysis, and Risk Management

  • Monitor Security Systems: Utilize security monitoring tools to detect and analyze potential cyber threats, ensuring that the organization stays ahead of new and emerging risks.

  • Conduct Threat Intelligence Analysis: Leverage intelligence tools to assess the scale, nature, and impact of security threats on systems and networks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and recommend ongoing improvements based on threat intelligence and vulnerability analysis.

Cybersecurity Awareness and Training

  • Promote Cybersecurity Awareness: Lead initiatives to foster a cybersecurity-conscious culture throughout the organization, ensuring that all staff members understand the importance of digital security.

  • Provide Training and Presentations: Develop and deliver training sessions for internal teams and non-technical stakeholders on key cybersecurity issues and best practices.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex cybersecurity issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, helping stakeholders understand the impact of cyber threats.


Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in a Technology Discipline or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or a related technical field.

  • Professional Cybersecurity Certifications: Such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, or CISM are highly desirable.

  • Experience with Vulnerability Management: A strong background in managing security vulnerabilities, including using related management tools.

  • Penetration Testing Expertise: Familiarity with common penetration testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Proficiency with Network Technologies: Deep understanding of server, client, and network security measures and protocols.

  • Cloud Security Expertise: Experience with Azure, AWS, and M365 security configurations and administration.

  • Scripting Knowledge: Strong command of PowerShell for automating security tasks and improving workflow efficiencies.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Advanced IT Certifications: ITIL Foundation or higher.

  • Experience with Kali Linux, Linux OS: Knowledge of tools like BloodHound, Sharphound, and NMAP for advanced security assessments.

  • Security Tool Experience: Familiarity with SIEM, threat hunting, and log management tools.


Job Location and Benefits
