Your Role as a Community Care Worker
As a Community Care Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming).
- Prepare and serve meals and refreshments to ensure proper nutrition.
- Provide medication reminders and support with administration.
- Use approved mobility equipment (hoists, slide sheets) to assist clients safely.
- Support with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Encourage independence and dignity, ensuring clients feel respected and valued.
Essential Requirements
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Valid UK driving license (both paper and card parts).
- Minimum 12 months of care experience, including 6 months in Northern Ireland.
- Proof of Northern Ireland residency (current address verification required).
- National Insurance Number.
- IELTS Certificate (minimum score of 4.0) or CEFR Certificate (minimum level B1) for English language proficiency.
- Access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
- Business-class car insurance for work purposes.
- NISCC Registration (Northern Ireland Social Care Council).
- Complete application form with full employment history (gaps will not be considered).
Shift Patterns & Work Schedule
To provide continuous care and support, candidates must be available for:
Day Shift:
- 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Evening Shift:
- 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Note: This role requires availability for both weekday and weekend shifts. A full-time contract includes a combination of day and evening shifts.
