Key Responsibilities
As a Community Care Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care: Assisting clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Administration: Helping clients manage their medication schedule, ensuring they take the correct medication at the right times.
- Meal Preparation: Preparing meals that meet the specific dietary needs of clients.
- Transportation: Safely transporting clients to appointments, outings, and social events.
- Emotional Support: Offering companionship and emotional support to clients, helping them feel valued and cared for.
- Health & Safety: Adhering to all health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of both clients and staff.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Care Experience: A minimum of 1 year of UK care experience, ideally in community care. However, other relevant experience will be considered.
- Driving License: A valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this role.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English is required to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Personal Traits: A friendly, patient, and reliable demeanor. You should have a genuine passion for providing quality care and support to those in need.
- Employment References: The ability to provide references for the past 3 years of employment, with any gaps explained.
