Position Overview: Community Care Assistant

Home Instead Aylesbury is offering a unique Sponsorship Swap position for a Community Care Assistant. If you’re currently working in the UK under a Skilled Worker VISA but are not receiving the required hours from your current employer, we would love to hear from you! This full-time position guarantees contracted hours, providing job security and the opportunity to work within a highly respected care organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of your clients by providing personalized care and support. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal Care: Assisting clients with bathing, dressing, and other daily hygiene tasks to ensure their comfort and well-being.

  • Medication Assistance: Helping clients manage their medication and ensuring timely and accurate administration.

  • Daily Living Assistance: Supporting clients with everyday tasks, such as getting in and out of bed, mobility assistance, and using the restroom.

  • Home Help: Light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and tidying up to ensure a clean and safe environment.

  • Companionship: Spending time with clients, engaging in friendly conversations, and offering emotional support.

  • Meal Preparation: Preparing nutritious meals, monitoring clients’ diets, and ensuring they enjoy healthy, balanced meals.

  • Appointment Assistance: Helping clients get to and from appointments, ensuring they receive necessary care and medical attention.

  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to maintain their independence by providing assistance when needed but also allowing them to retain autonomy in their daily lives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a care setting (domiciliary care, care home, or hospital).

  • Location & Visa Requirements: You must already be in the UK and currently on a sponsorship visa.

  • License & Transport: A valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable for this role, as travel between clients is a key part of the position.
