About the Role
The Clinical Support Worker will:

Join our dynamic East London Intensive Support Team as a Band 4 Clinical Support Worker. This exciting opportunity involves working within a 7-day urgent and intensive community response service, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors. The team serves Tower Hamlets, Newham, and City and Hackney boroughs, with its base at Mile End Hospital.
Main Responsibilities
- Client Support: Provide direct care and establish respectful, compassionate relationships with service users to promote recovery and independence.
- Health Promotion: Facilitate access to primary and secondary health services and contribute to health-related tasks and data collection.
- Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including local GPs, community organizations, and carers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Service Development: Actively contribute to shaping inclusive and effective health services for individuals with Learning Disabilities.
- Crisis Intervention: Utilize specialized skills to manage crises effectively, improving health outcomes.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications:
- Essential: NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Desirable: Qualification in a health or social care-related subject.
Experience:
- Essential: Experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, or challenging behaviors, including non-verbal communication.
- Team collaboration and use of Microsoft Office tools for reporting and communication.
- Desirable: Experience in community-based health or social care settings, data collection, and working with diverse populations.
Skills:
