  • Salary: £26,000 to £28,300 per year (including sleep-ins)

Sponsorship Eligibility

Sponsorship opportunities are available only for candidates who already reside in the UK and have held a skilled worker visa sponsorship since before 1st April 2024. You must have continually held sponsorship since that time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a positive role model for children and young people, fostering structure, consistency, and nurturing care.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child or young person at all times.
  • Be attentive to the physical and emotional needs of children and young people.
  • Monitor, record, and report any signs of stress or abuse.
  • Encourage and promote good personal hygiene and semi-independence in daily activities.
  • Support children and young people in various activities, including escorting them to and from events.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, therapists, and social workers.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using our electronic recording system.
  • Participate in group meetings, staff meetings, and training sessions.
  • Perform shift work, including overnight sleep-ins.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People).
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage personal and professional boundaries.
  • Preparedness to work under pressure and manage stress.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work unsocial hours, including public holidays and attend residential holidays with young people.
  • Current driving license (desirable).
