Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Authentic Chinese Dishes: Create traditional Chinese recipes using high-quality ingredients, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Menu Development: Innovate and develop new dishes that reflect the rich flavors of Chinese cuisine, enhancing the customer dining experience.
- Maintain Kitchen Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene protocols in line with UK regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak hours.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, focusing on customer satisfaction and culinary excellence.
Key Requirements
- Certified Chinese Chef: Must hold at least a Middle-Level Certificate in Chinese Culinary Arts (or higher).
- Food Hygiene Certification: A valid UK Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate is required.
- Professional Experience: Previous experience working in high-end hotels or prestigious restaurants in China is essential.
- Passion for Authentic Chinese Cuisine: A strong passion for Chinese cooking, with an eye for detail in food preparation and presentation.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
- Driving Licence: Although not required, a driving licence is preferred for transportation needs.
- Cooking Experience: At least 1 year of experience working as a chef, ideally in Chinese or Asian cuisine.
