Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting) with dignity and respect.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients receive proper nutrition.
- Administer medication according to prescriptions and healthcare plans.
- Support clients with mobility and transportation, including driving when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for clients.
- Work alongside healthcare professionals to provide holistic and effective care.
Job Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to learn from feedback, reflect on care practices, and seek guidance when needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Patience and understanding in managing challenging behaviors.
- A full UK Driving Licence with business-class insurance (preferred for domiciliary care roles).
- Ability to work well in a team environment, recognizing the needs of both clients and colleagues.
- Fluent English language skills (spoken and written) are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent education.
- One year of home care experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to communicate using alternative methods where barriers to understanding exist.
