About the Role

As a Care Worker, you will provide essential support to individuals facing vulnerabilities, including the elderly, those with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or injuries. You will help them achieve independence while fostering a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emotional and Social Support: Assist clients in building resilience and well-being.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Help with washing, dressing, toiletry activities, and mobility.
  • Household Tasks: Support with meal preparation, shopping, laundry, and tidying.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional well-being.
  • Community Engagement: Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Professional Communication: Collaborate with social workers and other professionals.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct regular health and safety checks in clients’ environments.
  • Transport Assistance: Support clients in getting to appointments and community activities.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • English Language Proficiency: Minimum B1 level in listening, reading, writing, and speaking (proven through a Secure English Language Test).
  • Driving Licence: A valid international driving license is required, with the expectation of securing a UK license within a year.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding principles in health and social care.

Preferred Experience

  • Home Care: At least one year of experience in home care or related roles.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills for reporting and correspondence.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and follow policies and procedures.
