Key Responsibilities of the Care Support Worker
As a Care Support Worker at Spinetail Home Care, your duties will include:
- Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with daily personal care routines, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Meal Preparation: Helping with meal preparation according to individual dietary requirements.
- Companionship: Offering emotional support and engaging clients in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Medication Assistance: Assisting with the administration of medication, as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Light Housekeeping: Performing basic household tasks such as tidying up, laundry, and ensuring the home environment is clean and safe.
- Client Reporting: Using the company’s system to record daily activities, progress, and any concerns or observations.

Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Essential:
- UK-based: Applicants must currently reside in the UK. Applications from overseas candidates will not be considered.
- Driving License: Must possess a clean UK driving license and be able to drive your own car.
- Flexible: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Strong Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Personal Care Skills: Capable of providing personal care, meal prep, medication support, and companionship.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to use a company system for client reporting and daily task updates.
Desirable:
- Experience in Home Care: 1 year of experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Education: A Certificate of Higher Education or similar qualification (preferred).
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Urdu is advantageous.
Work Setting and Shift Details
As a Care Support Worker, you will primarily work in a home care setting, providing essential support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. The shifts include:
- 10-hour shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- Day and Night shifts
- Weekend and Weekday shifts
You will also need to be comfortable working on the road, as travel between clients is required.
