About the Role

As a Care Lead (Complex Care Manager), you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of support workers to deliver person-centered care for adults with:

  • Forensic mental health backgrounds
  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism

Our flagship supported living service is located just an 8-minute walk from Ewell East Train Station and offers on-site parking.

You’ll be managing care in a supported living setting, helping residents lead meaningful lives in their community while also fostering professional growth and development within your team.

Job Overview

  • Position: Care Lead – Mental Health
  • Location: Epsom, United Kingdom (Reigate Road, KT17)
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary: Up to £13.30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Weekly Hours: 48 hours (12-hour shifts)
  • Visa Sponsorship: Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship available for eligible candidates already residing near the service location.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, motivate, and develop staff through:
    • Monthly supervisions and annual appraisals
    • Leading team meetings and onboarding new team members
    • Providing hands-on support and responding to incidents effectively

Care Management

  • Oversee care planning, risk management, and legal compliance.
  • Act as a role model for person-centered care and implement sector-leading practices.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of current CQC regulations and ensure adherence to legislation.

Resident Support

  • Engage directly with individuals presenting challenging behaviors or high-risk needs.
  • Develop meaningful care pathways to support residents’ independence and integration into the community.
  • Coordinate care that reflects residents’ unique needs and goals.

Requirements

Education & Skills

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete).
  • Strong understanding of current CQC standards and social care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Experience

  • Proven managerial experience in the care sector.
  • Background in supporting individuals with mental health conditions, autism, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams effectively.

  • Full UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.
