Bliss Care Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh. As a Care Assistant, you’ll be providing essential support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and independence. Whether assisting in their own homes or within the community, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care services.
Key Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your daily tasks will include:
- Assisting clients with day-to-day living activities such as shopping, food preparation, and domestic duties.
- Providing personal care, including showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
- Promoting medication adherence through reminders and support.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity and independence.
Your role will involve traveling to different locations, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Mileage will be reimbursed monthly.
Candidate Requirements
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Experience in providing care and support to adults and older individuals.
- A reliable, honest, and cheerful personality with excellent communication skills.
- A sense of responsibility and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle for travel between client locations.
- A passion for improving the quality of life for others, with a focus on maintaining independence, dignity, and cultural values.
Experience in care is essential, but we provide both practical and online training to help you succeed in this role. All applicants will undergo an Enhanced Disclosure PVG check to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.

Working Hours & Schedule
This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. We offer flexible shift options, including:
- 8-hour shifts
- 10-hour shifts
- 12-hour shifts
- Day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekend availability
You may be required to work weekends or take overtime based on the needs of our clients. Specific shift patterns can be discussed during the interview process.
Salary
