Responsibilities: What You’ll Be Doing

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. Working closely with the General Manager, you will be involved in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and helping to drive the growth of the business.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Stock and Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels and assist with ordering for the restaurant and kitchen, ensuring everything is ready for service.

  • Staff Coordination: Oversee restaurant staff performance and manage shift rosters to ensure the smooth running of the business.

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and ensuring all guests, including delivery customers, are satisfied with their food and service.

  • Team Supervision and Training: Supervise staff across the restaurant and train new and existing employees, ensuring they meet company standards.

  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and health & safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.

  • Bookings Management: Coordinate table bookings and manage any changes or adjustments needed.

  • Business Growth: Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies for the growth of the business, including menu improvements and customer feedback.

  • Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.

  • Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, finding timely and effective solutions.

You will also play an instrumental role in coordinating restaurant and delivery services, ensuring that both areas operate seamlessly and provide an exceptional customer experience.


Key Qualifications: What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry, preferably as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a team, ensuring high standards of service and performance.

  • Customer-Focused: Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for ensuring an excellent guest experience.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health, safety, and food safety regulations, with the ability to implement and enforce them effectively.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work closely with the General Manager and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.

  • Flexibility: Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Work Environment and Schedule

Working Hours
