Weekly Work Structure and Schedule

Two-Week Rotational Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

  • Daily Hours: Split shifts from 07:00–14:00 and 16:00–22:30

  • Mileage Allowance: £0.35 per mile

  • Pay Schedule: Biweekly, paid every second Friday

Key Responsibilities of a Female Team Leader

As a Team Leader, your role will combine leadership, compliance, and direct care responsibilities. You will oversee care delivery, supervise a team of carers, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide practical support to clients.

Leadership and Supervision

  • Lead and mentor a team of domiciliary care workers to ensure service excellence

  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions

  • Coordinate daily schedules, allocate tasks, and provide on-the-spot support

  • Ensure all team members follow CQC-compliant procedures, care plans, and safeguarding protocols

Care Management and Client Support

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of individualised care plans

  • Monitor client health, safety, and well-being, and escalate concerns to healthcare professionals

  • Assist with medication administration, recording, and auditing

  • Conduct client reviews and ensure documentation is updated in line with GDPR and Health & Social Care Standards

Operational and Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of care delivery, staff performance, incidents, and feedback

  • Liaise with care coordinators and the registered manager to optimise team deployment

  • Ensure risk assessments are updated and followed across all care settings

  • Serve as first responder for out-of-hours emergencies or service disruptions


Essential Candidate Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must demonstrate professional integrity, compassion, and a proactive leadership style.

Mandatory Qualifications and Criteria

  • Must currently reside in the UK on a valid Student (CAS complete), Graduate, or Dependent Visa

  • Minimum of 6 months care experience in a regulated UK environment

  • Must possess a UK driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle

  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and report-writing skills

  • Able to pass a full enhanced DBS check and provide references

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

  • First Aid and Medication Administration certificates

  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a fast-paced care environment

  • High emotional intelligence and resilience under pressure
