About Papa John’s Pizza and the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing specialist shopfitting and interior fit-out projects for a renowned high street pizza brand. The projects will span across travel retail, high street retail, and the commercial sectors, providing you with an exciting and diverse range of challenges.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager Role
The Project Manager will play an essential role in delivering interior fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing Daily Operations

Assist in overseeing daily operations within various departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Provide timely support and contribute innovative ideas during project execution.
2. Project Planning and Execution

Monitor project timelines and deliverables, using strong time management skills to ensure that deadlines are met.

Learn and use Civil 3D software for planning and executing projects as required. (Training will be provided for those unfamiliar with the software.)
3. Research and Analysis

Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement within the organization.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management, showcasing your findings and recommendations.
4. Collaboration and Teamwork

Work closely with team members on a range of projects, providing ongoing support and contributing ideas.

Attend site meetings to monitor and support project progress and address any issues that arise.
5. Health and Safety Management

Develop and implement health & safety plans for each project.

Review method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
6. Client and Stakeholder Communication

Maintain consistent communication with clients and project teams to ensure smooth project progression.

Track and manage all extra costs, variations, and omissions, ensuring the contract value is updated regularly.
7. Subcontractor and Financial Management

Review and approve subcontractor invoices related to the projects you manage.

Support the project managers in monitoring and developing project programs, ensuring all aspects of the project are financially sound.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
Educational Qualifications

A degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Alternatively, a construction qualification such as HNC or a degree level qualification would be beneficial, though not required.
Experience
-
1+ years’ experience in the construction or interior fit-out industry is essential.

Experience with AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory.

Practical or site-based work experience is also preferred but not essential.
Skills

Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Familiarity with Civil 3D software is advantageous (training will be provided).

Proactive attitude with the willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
License and Certifications

A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.

A Bench Joinery/Shopfitting NVQ Level 3 is preferred but not required.
