Key Responsibilities

As the Chief Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the company’s compliance operations to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Compliance Framework Development

  • Establish and maintain the company’s compliance framework in alignment with FCA and HMRC regulations.

  • Ensure the compliance framework evolves as regulations change and as the company grows.

2. AML and KYC Implementation

  • Oversee and ensure the effective implementation of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) policies.

  • Conduct regular assessments of the company’s AML and KYC processes to ensure they are robust and up-to-date.

3. Regulatory Liaison & Reporting

  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary communications are clear and transparent.

  • Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.

4. Internal Audits & Risk Management

  • Conduct internal compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of existing processes.

  • Perform risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks to the business.

5. Compliance Training & Guidance

  • Develop and deliver compliance training to employees at all levels, ensuring the entire team understands and adheres to the regulatory requirements.

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to staff to ensure continued compliance.

6. Industry Monitoring & Updates

  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and trends.

  • Implement necessary compliance updates and ensure all practices reflect current industry standards.


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a driven and experienced Chief Compliance Officer with a strong background in the financial industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FCA regulations, AML, and financial crime compliance, and the ability to lead the compliance function within a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

1. Proven Compliance Experience

  • Proven track record in a leadership role within the financial industry, with specific experience in compliance and risk management.

2. Knowledge of FCA & HMRC Regulations

  • In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations, including AML and KYC compliance, and a strong understanding of financial crime prevention.

3. Relevant Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.

4. Detail-Oriented & Fast-Paced Environment

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

5. Leadership & Communication Skills

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and liaise with regulatory bodies.
