Key Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Architect

In this critical role, you will be working with a highly skilled team on a variety of complex projects, including cloud migrations, data platform implementations, network refreshes, and large-scale application systems. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Understanding and Shaping Security Requirements

  • Collaborate with business areas to gather and shape security requirements.
  • Ensure that all customer data and organizational assets are securely protected while enabling the delivery of secure digital services.

2. Defining Security Blueprints and Roadmaps

  • Take accountability for the IT Security Blueprints, which define the architecture’s end state, current state, and transition roadmaps.
  • Lead the creation and execution of technology and service roadmaps that drive the strategic use of cloud technologies, while phasing out legacy systems.

3. Providing Security Guidance to Technology Teams

  • Provide security advice and constraints to ensure that all project deliveries remain in alignment with the security blueprints and the overarching security roadmap.

4. Procurement and Solutioning

  • Be actively involved in developing IT service requirements and selecting third-party IT providers.
  • Work closely with vendors to craft and implement solutions that meet business needs, although some solutioning will be handled in-house.
