Internship Details
Interns will be assigned to different divisions within the WTO, where they will undertake tasks that enhance their understanding of trade policies and gain practical experience in specialized areas. The specific nature of the work will be determined by the division to which the intern is assigned. This program is open to nationals of WTO member states and countries or customs territories engaged in accession negotiations.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the WTO Internship, candidates must:
- Nationality: Be a national of a WTO member state or a country/customs territory engaged in accession negotiations.
- Education: Have completed undergraduate studies in a relevant discipline and at least one year of post-graduate studies.
- Age: Be between 21 and 30 years old at the time of the internship.
Internship Benefits
- Stipend: Interns will receive a daily allowance of CHF 60, including weekends and official holidays during the internship period.
- Travel Expenses: Interns are responsible for their own travel expenses to and from Geneva, as these are not covered by the WTO.
- Health Insurance: Interns must arrange their own health insurance, as medical coverage is mandatory in Switzerland and is not provided by the WTO.
