The 2024 University of Sussex Graduate Scholarship offers financial support for Sussex graduates who have achieved a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree and are progressing directly to an eligible Masters program at Sussex in September 2024. The scholarship provides a tuition fee reduction of £3,000 for ‘Home’ fee status students and £4,000 for ‘Overseas’ fee status students.

Eligibility

Who is Eligible:

  • Graduates from Sussex in 2024 with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree
  • Accepted an offer for an eligible Masters program (part-time or full-time) starting in September 2024
  • Graduates from the Sussex Artificial Intelligence Institute at Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJSU) with a First or Upper Second Class degree

Who is Not Eligible:

  • Applicants for Masters programs at other universities
  • Students progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
  • Students from partner institutions (e.g., BIMM, ISC)
  • Students who studied at a UK University’s overseas campus or external program
  • Holders of another University of Sussex scholarship (e.g., Sussex India Scholarship)

Students enrolled in the following excluded courses:

  • Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
  • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
  • Courses at IDS
  • Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
  • Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
  • Online courses
  • School Direct teaching courses
  • Masters funded by research councils (e.g., ESRC 1+3 funding)

Number of Scholarships Available: Unlimited

Application Process

To apply for the Sussex Graduate Scholarship:

  1. Register Interest: Declare your interest via the PG Apply portal when you accept your offer of a place on an eligible Masters course.
  2. Through Representatives: If applied via one of our overseas representatives, ask them to register your interest on your behalf.
  3. Declaration: Ensure you declare your interest before registering on your Masters degree.
