Role and Purpose

Our national Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance Services practice provides strategic sourcing of various services including:

  • Internal Audit
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Governance
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Contract Compliance
  • Sustainability/ESG

Sustainability has become a critical component for business success across all sectors. Our Sustainability team supports clients in driving their Sustainability agendas with a focus on:

  • Sustainability Assurance
  • Impact Reporting
  • Decarbonization

We leverage established methodologies to identify organizational strengths, weaknesses, and risks, using this knowledge to enhance impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing sustainability audit and assurance programs, tests, and procedures
  • Delivering sustainability assurance and reporting engagements
  • Preparing working papers to support consulting outputs and conclusions
  • Identifying weak/problem areas and developing corrective action plans
  • Report writing and producing quality outputs
  • Liaising and communicating with clients throughout project stages
  • Conducting site visits with the team
  • Demonstrating strong technical analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Utilizing investigative, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Multitasking effectively
  • Supporting KPMG’s ESG strategy implementation, including research and thought leadership development

Required Skills and Attributes

Qualifications

  • Relevant Honours Degree in fields such as Environmental Science/Management, Chemical Engineering, Social Science, Climate Change/Climate Finance, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
